Malcolm Nicholson

I have been running Aspecture since 1999 and am a leadership and executive coach. I work with senior business people to achieve transformational change, i.e. changes that profoundly alter the way a person works and lives.

Because of the length and breadth of my experience, my approach is broad based and focuses on constructively challenging people’s beliefs.  This liberates their capabilities and their actions follow creating high performance in work and life.

I currently work with a wide range of people in a variety of industry sectors including banking, financial services, entertainment, healthcare, education, outsourced services, logistics and IT. Client roles vary and include the Chairman of a £2.0bn turnover company and a range of senior (and middle) positions.

Previous work experience includes Human Resources and Sales & Marketing, where I gained board experience in an operating division and extensive international business experience. I also have international coaching experience, having worked in Europe, India, South Africa and Barbados as well as being UK Director of the Centre for International Business Coaching and work with recovering members of the armed forces.

My qualifications include being a Certified Master Coach and member of the International Coaching Council (ICC); also a B.Sc. (Hons) in Psychology, I've studied NLP, (neuro-linguistic programming), and am an accredited coach with the Sportsmind Institute of Australia.  as well as being a member of the ICF, (International Coaching Federation). I am a visiting lecturer at NEOMA Business School, Paris.

Coaching philosophy. This is simple -  to inspire people to recognise their potential; to discover how to remove the roadblocks stopping them from achieving that potential; and to generate momentum to achieving that potential. This approach has been described as ‘engaging – yet ruthlessly results orientated!’  This along with 16 years experience coaching at the top, world class training, pragmatism and the ability to galvanise people into action helps make my approach unique!
